The Problem Barrett Saw Before Most of Us Named It

There is a statistic hiding inside every crowded clubhouse and every full church, temple, and meditation app: people have never been more surrounded, and never felt more alone.

We talk about loneliness like it's a mood. Barrett Edri treats it like an engineering problem. And like every member of The Country C1ub, he refused to accept that the answer was “more content, more scrolling, more noise.”

His answer was to build. Twice. In the two arenas he cares about most.

Golf — where four strangers can become four friends over eighteen holes, but where the culture, the math of the bets, and the intimidation factor keep too many people on the outside looking in.

Spirituality — where ancient wisdom traditions hold real answers about meaning and truth, but where most people have no accessible doorway in.

Two categories. Two apps. One thesis: there is nothing more valuable than building connection.

Who Is Barrett Edri?

Barrett William Edri is a husband, father, entrepreneur, author, and recording artist — a builder who moves across culture, sport, agriculture, and purpose without treating any of them as a side project. He is the co-founder of Foresome, a golf media platform and app redefining how golfers connect, compete, and experience the game, and the creator of Emet Unlimited, a Kabbalistic oracle app rooted in Hebrew Gematria, now live on iOS.

He has published two books — Free B and 18: Life. Golf. Chai. — and released Gematria: The Album, a 13-track record alternating reggae and hip-hop that translates Hebrew numerology into sound. He also serves as Director of Strategic Partnerships & Agricultural Development at the Stoudemire Foundation, putting ancient wisdom into modern action.

If that résumé sounds scattered, look closer. Every line item is the same project wearing different clothes: bringing people back to each other, and back to something true.

“The pattern that governs creation governs the journey of the soul.” — Barrett William Edri

Venture One: Foresome — Love the Game

Golf already had magazines. Golf already had score apps. What golf didn't have was a home built for everyone who plays — even the ones who can't break 100.

That's the gap Foresome fills.

Foresome Magazine publishes gear reviews, cultural deep dives, legends, essays, and travel stories that treat golf as what it actually is: the greatest connection machine ever disguised as a sport. Barrett writes much of it himself — on everything from Moe Norman and Calvin Peete to why the PNC Championship is the best weekend in golf.

Foresome Games, the app arriving soon, solves the oldest argument in the sport: the money. Set up a round, pick your games, and enter scores hole by hole — Nassau, Skins, and Stableford with handicaps built in. Pay up and get paid out through the app. The tagline says it all: track the bet, not the math — so your foursome can love the game and never argue the arithmetic.

There's even a Foresome Foursome merch drop — matching custom polos for your group, one shared color, four sleeve nicknames — because Barrett understands that connection is also a uniform, a ritual, an inside joke stitched onto a sleeve.

Why It Matters to C1ub Members

Every C1ub member knows the truth Foresome is built on: deals get done, friendships get forged, and character gets revealed over eighteen holes. Foresome removes the friction — the score-keeping disputes, the settling-up awkwardness — so the round can be about the people.

Venture Two: Emet Unlimited — A Kabbalistic Oracle in Your Pocket

Emet is the Hebrew word for truth. It's also, in Jewish tradition, the word inscribed to bring the golem to life — truth as the animating force itself.

Emet Unlimited is Barrett's spiritual guidance tool, rooted in Hebrew Gematria and the wisdom of Kabbalah, designed to illuminate truth for anyone seeking it. No prior study required. No gatekeeping. Just an accessible doorway into a wisdom tradition thousands of years deep — now available on the App Store.

Where Foresome builds connection between people, Emet builds connection within a person — to meaning, to pattern, to the questions that outlast every quarterly goal. Barrett also offers one-on-one coaching sessions through barrettedri.com for those who want to go deeper.

Golf and Kabbalah may sound like an odd pairing until you realize both are pattern disciplines. Both reward stillness. Both punish ego. Both are played alone, together.

The Thread That Ties It All Together: Tikkun Olam

Ask Barrett why he builds, and the answer comes back to a single Hebrew phrase: Tikkun Olam — the repair of the world.

In his framework, every venture is a vessel. Foresome is a vessel for connection through sport. Emet is a vessel for connection through truth. His work with the Stoudemire Foundation — ancient wisdom applied to agricultural development — is a vessel for connection through the land itself. Even the album and the books are vessels: 13 tracks and two volumes carrying the same signal on different frequencies.

This is what membership in The Country C1ub is designed to look like in practice. Not networking for its own sake. Not hustle as identity. Mission-driven builders who treat business as a mechanism for repair — of communities, of industries, of themselves.

It's no accident that Barrett was one of the first to tell The Country C1ub's story publicly, writing on Foresome that in a world where loneliness is rising, one truth remains: nobody achieves great things alone. He didn't just observe that truth. He built two companies on it.

Three Lessons From Barrett's Playbook

I

Pick the categories you'd work on for free.

Barrett didn't chase a market — he built inside the two passions he'd pursue regardless: golf and spirituality. Conviction compounds; trends don't.

II

Solve the small friction that blocks the big feeling.

Foresome Games doesn't try to reinvent golf. It removes one argument — the math of the bets — so the connection underneath can breathe. Find the pebble in your customer's shoe.

III

Give every venture a “why” bigger than revenue.

Tikkun Olam turns a portfolio into a mission. When each project is a vessel for the same purpose, you never have to choose between them — they row in the same direction.

Connect With Barrett

And if you see Barrett at a C1ub event or on the tee sheet — introduce yourself. Building connection is literally his business. He'll make the first move easy.
