I played college golf at San Diego State. After school I lived out of my car and chased a dream with a plan — The Masters. I made the round of 32 out of about nine thousand amateurs, five players from Augusta. I failed. I learned.
I kept three journals in that car. One was titled “Today I Improved Because…” For the c1ub, “I” became “We.”
The golf dream went in the closet for ten years while I built a stronger foundation. The c1ub came after — the room I wish I'd had at twenty-two: better players, real friends, and people who open doors. That's why we do this together, not alone.
